Self-Sufficient Resources is a web site dedicated to providing resources to people who wish to become more self-sustaining and self-reliant through the necessary preparations.   From economic threats to natural disasters, preparation for the uncertain times is a smart decision for those desiring to develop a more sustainable lifestyle.

It is later than many of us imagine. Those of us who have lived in the last several decades of the twentieth century have witnessed unmatched growth and progress in technology and continuous innovation. Sometimes this progress is accompanied by the acceptance or hope that science, technology and government can meet all the challenges of our times, tame the forces of the environment and repair everything that goes wrong. However, our record progress goes along with social change in which there has been an eroding of the traditional values and a trust in the government who is supposed to work for the goodwill of it’s citizens. Instead we see corrupt politicians and bankers who only serve special interest corporations and ignore the will of the people. Daily we are reminded of our progression, the unemployed, the homeless, the regulations and the fees and taxes. The current instability gives rise to worries over hyperinflation, more taxes and increased energy costs. During these challenging times we usher in the need for personal responsibility and resourceful inspired solutions. Expecting science, technology or the government to solve all our problems and insure our needs is neglecting the issue of our personal responsibility to insuring our own means of survival.

Because no one knows whats in store for the future its up to each individual to take responsibility for himself and his family in being prepared for the unexpected. Getting back to basics is my goal in helping my family and others to prepare for themselves. Responsibility is deciding to take control of our own destiny by developing a self-sustaining life style and reducing our cost of living. Increasing demand and decreasing supplies of commodities almost guarantees a price increase across the board. We can’t change the natural course of events, social or natural disasters but we can prepare for the unexpected events with affirmation and certainty that you and your family will sustain and survive.

This blog is about my wake-up call to becoming self-reliant and responsibility  for that I can control. This is all about my Self-sufficient Resources.
